Hand Knotted Oriental Area Rugs

Nov 19

Most people don't realize the subtle differences in oriental hand knotted rugs from machine-made rugs. Hand knotted, hand woven, or hand tied rugs are also called Persian rugs or Persian rugs for sale and considered collector's items because of their superior quality. They are not mass-produced or well-crafted like machine-made carpets. They are often hand painted with intricate and detailed designs. These rugs are treasured family treasures.

These rugs are very popular in all-over designs, including square, round, rectangular, square and oval as well as hexagonal, hexagonal, oblong, and hexagonal patterns. However, you can also find some geometric designs in Oriental carpets. Most of these all-around rugs have a central medallion. The central medallion is decorated with symbolic scenes taken from Persian history, such scenes as those of prophet Muhammad (P.B.U.H), Ka’baah and the advent Islam. The central medallion is usually decorated using a lotus flower or buddha, a bow, mace, bow or a coin. The central medallion of the square, rectangular, and round Oriental carpets does not exist.

Heriz rugs come in many different designs, including square, rectangular, hexagonal, and all-over patterns. Handmade, square and rectangular herizrugs are more colorful that machine-made carpets. You can classify herizrugs by the geometric patterns found on the border, the hems, or other patches. Major heriz rug designs include the allover plain or all-over area, the shell border, taupe borders, the taupe border, the shell border, the taupe border, the silk and satin hems and the sheykhara.

The Persian carpets are similar to other rugs in that they share many commonalities. Similar to the Persian rugs and other carpets with six knots per square in, oriental rugs also feature six knots. Each knot is twisted, not twisted like the kite.

The construction of the handmade oriental area rugs is different. The majority are woven on horizontal weaving looms using silk fibers. You can also use silk warp yarns instead of needle yarn. One interesting fact about the construction is that the weavers start by twisting a yarn, then they go through several passes to form the desired shape. The end result is a rug that looks almost like art. The use of wool pile rather than needle pile is a significant difference in the production of the wool used.

The hand-knotted rugs or handmade rugs made by Iran are more widely used than carpet weaves. These rugs are also large and can be used anywhere large carpet weaves won't fit. Because of their popularity, hand-made rugs from Iran can be used in large spaces for home decor themes. If you are interested in purchasing one of these rugs, you should learn more about the history and manufacturing process.
