Minimalist Wall Arts and Minimalist Framed Prints

Feb 16

The movement of minimalism began in Western art after World War II. The American visual arts were most strongly associated with minimalism during the 1960s and 1970s. The resulting aesthetic is defined by its lack of distracting elements. Contemporary minimalist art is a type of modern art that is often characterized by a stark, clean look. While it has many branches, one of the main ones is conceptual art, which is characterized by its use of simple, geometric forms to create a visual effect.

The minimalist aesthetic is about using monochromatic colors and materials. This style is usually made up of black and white, and is devoid of any other color. In addition, minimalist artists often use seriality and geometric shapes to emphasize their designs. The minimalist movement makes use of industrial materials and is more suited for modern homes. The art movement has grown in popularity as it embodies the philosophy of minimalism. In fact, it has become a popular style among contemporary artists.

Aside from being a popular type of art, minimalist artists also create sculptural works that are reminiscent of architecture. Some examples include Carl Andre's Lever, a series of 137 firebricks that look like they are attached to a wall. Another example is Robert Morris' Mirrored Cubes, a series of four cubes that are arranged equidistantly. Each of the four cubes contains mirrors on the outside, making them accessible for the viewer to walk through or around.
