Of the frontline indices, the 30-share Sensex advanced 505.72 points or 1.15 per cent to a record closing high of 44,655.44, while the 50-share Nifty climbed 140.10 points or 1.08 per cent to record close of 13.109.05.
The rally was broad-based with BSE mid and smallcap indices also scaling their respective 52-week highs.

>> Adani Logistics sold 11,56,147 shares of Snowman Logistics at Rs 56.73 per share. It held 26 per cent stake in the company at the end of September.
>> Altruist Customer Management India sold 33,00,000 shares of Subex at Rs 26.42 per share. It held 2.23 per cent stake in the company at the end of last quarter.
>> First State Investments ICVC-First State Asia All-Cap Fund and SVL Ltd sold 8,02,504 shares and 16,00,000 shares of Take Solutions respectively. The former held 1.63 per cent stake in the company at the end of last quarter.
>> F Born AG sold 22,21,734 shares of Tata Coffee at Rs 105.16 per share. It held 1.92 per cent stake in the company at the end of last quarter.
>> Albula Investment Fund bought 72,00,000 shares of Vikas Multicorp at Rs 7.60 per share.
